Suspension of License

License Restoration Lawyer Serving Essex and Bergen Counties

In a country like the United States, vehicles are an essential part of our lives. Even in cities with good public transportation, there seems to be a spirit of individuality and freedom associated with owning and driving a car.

When that privilege is threatened because of your prior driving record, you may feel confined, boxed in, unable to go about your daily life.

At The Law Office of Gwendolyn O. Austin in Newark, New Jersey, I am privileged to get to work with people who make up the communities in which I live and work. If you have too many unpaid tickets and are worried that your latest moving violation will result in a suspension of your license, contact me today. I offer free initial consultations in a supportive, friendly environment.

Dealing With the Issues That Led to Suspension:

  • Quite often clients visit me, surprised to find out that they were even driving with a suspended license. While you may have forgotten about an old traffic ticket or have ignored subsequent tickets, hoping they will just disappear, you have been accumulating repeated FTA’s (failures to appear) resulting in administrative suspensions of your license.
  • I help clients take the steps necessary to address the problems that led to the suspension and then handle the suspension itself.
  • As an attorney whose practice is primarily focused on moving violations and traffic law, I am able to address your license suspension matter efficiently and effectively. If you have several outstanding tickets or summons, for example, I will advise you to get everything scheduled at one time – by doing so, I will be able to negotiate a plea agreement that results in many if not all of the old tickets dismissed with a monetary sanction for delay or contempt of court. In this way, old tickets that would have resulted in points and/or judicial suspensions and additional surcharges never appear on your record.

License Restoration:

  • Once your prior tickets have been taken care of, we can address your license suspension.
  • In addressing clients’ administrative suspension matters, I have been able to work with the NJMVC to schedule a hearing and reduce the length of the administrative suspension so that your license can be restored sooner. I also help clients avoid the accumulation of additional points on their driving record through plea negotiations that result in dismissals of some of the outstanding moving violations. This results in lower fines and/or surcharges.

I look forward to assisting you. If you would like to schedule a free and confidential consultation with me to discuss your license suspension and how we can work together to restore your driving privileges, please contact me today. Call 866-646-9368.
